I lodged a complaint, for what it is worth. This place could be very cool, but the "3 point threads" are bad enough- to allow spamming into substantive threads of this kind of BS is really something SP should not tolerate.

Not sure there is much we can do other than inform the moderator and see if there is anything he can do.

It should actually be a bannable offense to spam the boards like this. It's one thing to post in those inspid "3 points" threads- just stay there. But to ruin everyone else's experience is really selfish and in my opinion completely inappropriate.

Stooge is a really nice way to put it. But ya. When there is a game, there is always someone who will misuse the system.

Does anyone else think Dwroberge is a stooge?
Man, is he a poster boy for why getting spark points for mindless posts is ruining this place!

I tend to gravitate toward the freshest fair on the menu. And don't overlook daily specials. Sometimes the specials (depending on the establishment) are a reflection of the freshest choices they procured at a good price.....

I agree 100% on not drinking empty calories- I still believe that is why I never ballooned to a ridiculously high weight even before I started to watch my eating and fitness a couple of years ago, as I have never been into drinking sugary sodas, etc.
When you go out, all you can do IMHO is try to minimize the damage. You can't worry about every meal, especially whe n it's a special occasion- all you can do is control it!

I tend to agree with all ideas here. If someone is nice enough to buy you a meal or prepare a meal for you, I would never turn it down. My only complaint with your choice is sweet tea. Why drink your calories? That's just an easy one to turn away, imo.
You're right though, it's pretty much impossible to track calories when you go out. There are "hidden calories".
yeah, the biggest problem I have with eating out though, is that I believe the "chef" puts alot of non-nutritional heavy calories in everything including veggies in order to make it taste better to stay in business.
I used to have the same problem with business lunch and dinner both. What I came to realize is if someone takes you out they don't care what you order. Unless of course you order half the menu and get a to go box then you might offend them.
Good enough! I've always cared too much about what other people think anyway. I figure what I ate had to of been at least 1200 calories so I guess I'll be skipping dinner tonight. Thanks Eric.

Who cares? You can adjust your diet later.
I order something not too mess- that is my primary point of consideration. If the restaurant has a "leaner" menu option, I will choose that.
what do I order guys? Well, It's already done with this time. I ordered rotisserie chicken breast, mac n cheese, rice, corn muffin and sweet tea. But what about next time? He's paying for my lunch and taking me out. How do I order when I don't know how many calories they've slathered in there. I also don't want to eat like a bird either cause he's paying for it. I want to show my appreciation. What would you order? It's always a diff rest, too.
