yes, needs to be bolted securely to the wall. You need this for the dresser too!!!! the one we had used a strap and a screwed bolt to the wall and dresser.

I finally got a bookshelf for my son's books but how do I keep him from climbing it and keep the bookshelf from toppling on top of him?!
