Here's the question I ask of you.

If you start using shakes, and you lose weight... what do you do when you stop drinking shakes?

The problem with shakes and such isn't that they don't work (they're a legitimate means of cutting calories to lose weight) its that they don't teach you how to handle the cause of your weight gain: overeating. Most people who do short-term diets and shakes end up gaining the weight back and then some because they never addressed the root of the problem.

Shakes don't teach you how to deal with a buffet, or a surprise plate of cookies at work, or how to negotiate a restaurant menu.

Skip the short-term fixes, and focus on building a healthy lifestyle you can keep up for a lifetime.

You're looking for a quick fix. It isn't going to work. Instead, work on learning how to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

I use the Body Fortress brand. It's tasty and I get it at Walmart. HOWEVER, I do not use this as a meal replacement. I use it as a snack or a before/after workout boost. That is is. Shakes will not help you lose weight in the long run.

I can't recommend any shake. While I do drink Carnation Instant Breakfast on days that I am not feeling well or busy and don't have time for a proper breakfast. I usually eat real food.

I eat real food and I am losing weight. I don't really prefer to drink my calories, I don't feel satisfied. One time I did slim fast and I drank my lunch shake and then went and made myself a PB and J. I never felt satiated.

There's no such thing as "better" - they're all pretty much the same.

What are your goals with such shakes?
