Congratulations on your weight-loss. They is great, and a lot faster than some, including my own. It took me 16 months to lose the first 50lb. Just remember, these slower losses are healthier on your body, and far more likely to stay with you. The fast ones have a habit of going back up, faster than a bungy-jumper :-(

Hey--you are right on target for 1-2 pounds a week!!! You are doing great, so don't get down on yourself. We all wish it could happen sooner... but time and time again research supports that if you take the weight off slowly, you are more likely to keep it off. And that is the real goal here, right?
So just keep making your healthy decisions, and congratulate yourself. You are getting healthier each day... Enjoy yourself! patti

Archimedes gave you some great advice.
Honestly, you don't have to work out 7 days a week! I always take off at least one day a week for muscle rebuilding and rest. I always work out harder the day after my rest. If you're cleaning houses, you are getting physical exercise, maybe you should think about doing something with stretching, like yoga. Then on the days you're off work, if you have days off, do cardio or weight training. Weight training to me gives me a lot of energy, and I can do it even when I feel tired. Maybe aerobic type work sounds too much when I'm worn out, but weight bearing exercise actually makes me feel better.
Also, do you always have to eat where the friends want to go? Maybe you can choose sometimes too, so you can pick a place with more choices for you.
Today's excuses are tomorrow's regrets dressed in disguise.
If you eat crap, you feel like crap and that makes you want more crap.

Stop trying to be perfect. I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.
every little bit really does make a difference. Also, you have to understand that when it comes to weight loss or even weight gain, what matters most is what we eat. good nutrition is what takes teh weight off and keeps it off. exercise is what keeps our bodies fit. In short, you can't outrun a bad diet with exercise. If you want to take the weight off, you have to learn to eat right to the best of your ability.
As far as eating out tomorrow evening, there is absolutely no reason you can't have a taco. What to do ? Have one taco in the evening with a side of gazpacho. If it's a Mexican place, they have to have gazpacho soup. Have some soup and the taco. Watch the margaritas, those are loaded with calories. One could could anywhere from 300-400 calories. So, you might skip the drink if you want the taco.
Also, if you can't eat your veggies at dinner, then eat a BIG leafy green salad at lunch. But, don't deprive yourself either. Indulge, but try not to over indulge. Do your best to watch your portion sizes.
Mostly, you have to stop beating yourself up for being human. You're not a bad person or an unhealthy one if you eat a little too much with friends. The next day, you do your best to eat more mindfully. No one ever became a healthy eater overnight. It's impossible. Try to watch your portions and during the day, do your best to eat more servings of fruits and veggies. that's all.
beating myself up because I have been striving for7 days a week of exercise but have been getting in 5-6 days. it has taken me 2 months to lose 12 pounds. I have has struggles with food as well. i have been exercising 6 weeks now. One week I only exercised 4 days :( Some days when I have to get up early to clean a house I am just wiped out when done and getting up real early doesnt work for me. It would be nicer if I could go later to some of the houses I clean but some people want it done early in the morning. also what can I do when go out with friends and they go out to places with NO good food choices. Fried,greasy food or nothing. Tomorrow night some friends and I are going out to this restaurant that only serves tacos with fried tortillas and nachos. that is it. no salads . no special orders. my one friend always wants to go there because the food is really good tasting and cheap. I get so frustrated. thanks .
