You may want to see a Board Certified Allergiest or gastroenterologist for follow up.

You probably have some sort of sensitivity to the products you're eating. I have it too with particular foods (like bagels, who would have thought?). If over the counter antacids don't help, you can experiment with other similar products to see what doesn't cause your symptoms. And you can mention this to your doc the next time you go, just to make sure it isn't a symptom of anything serious. I share your frustration though--it's healthy, so why does it give me heartburn?

I've been noticing a trend that everytime lately i eat raisin bran or whole wheat bread, i get terrible heartburn and indigestion.

i know wheat digestion causes gas but i don't seem to fit the allergy symptoms. i switched from whole wheat to honey wheat bread but had the same problems.

i've never had problems with it before that i'm aware of. the only other time i noticed it was if i ate a tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread and i'd be burping like no tomorrow.

could this be an allergy or wheat intolerance? i don't have celiac since i've been tested for it. maybe i've developed a sensitivity because i eat alot of wheat...?
