There's a really great chair exercise team here on SP - you might find some exercises there that you can do but still being careful of your back...

Hello! I'm so very glad there is this support out there for breaking rubber habits! I was doing so good last year, lost 11 lbs in 5 months by running 3 miles every morning and adding in 40 minutes of aerobics, and then I hurt my back badly. now i'm up 15 lbs, and 12 inches. I'm very incredibly sad, but you all keep me motivated. I'm trying to get back to running, waiting until the weather is hitting the positive side of the temperature marks... Thanks for all everyone does to help me feel like I'm not alone. I've been at this two weeks with no results, but I'm going to keep trying!
