I agree about telling your medical team that you belong to Sparks, most doctos have never heard of the site, and agree thereis very helpful information for weight loss on sparks.

Wow! SP should put you on staff! And what a great dr. to take a few minutes to explore it.

I think I'll try to do that in our clinic if there's ever a "down" time. Showing the website is so much more effective than trying to describe it.

Good idea. I might also do that with the writer of the fitness column in the newspaper. Thanks for the inspiration!

You really are doing great...keep on truckin'!

I agree regarding spreading the good word! I had a check up with my Doctor in March and he was thrilled with my weight loss. He gave me the 3rd degree about "fad diets" etc. I told him all about SparkPeople, he had never heard of it before. He brought his laptop in and I pulled up the website for him, gave him a "tour" and showed him the Nutrition tracker, Fitness tracker, Coach Nicole's fitness video's, Chef Meg's recipes etc. He was thrilled with it. He said he was going to "check it out" for himself. He called me about a week later and told me that whatever I did not to "quit" doing what I was learning to do here....he also said it's his "go to" source now to send his other patients that have some weight to lose! I love it here...

Nancy - that's awesome! Thanks for Spreading the Spark! And just in case you want to continue to share the site with others, there is a Tell a Friend button at the top of the page that has some flyers and business cards that can be printed as well.

Thanks to both of you! When I read an article about logging food & nutrition, etc., etc., etc. I just about burst shouting (at the newspaper which I'm holding)---Tell them about SparkPeople!!!

I know there are other sites....but why bother with anything BUT SparkPeople???
(I'm biased, can you tell?!)

Thanks for all you both do to help us!

Yes, the page that Heather posted is the page that lists that type of information. Thanks for posting that Heather!

I don't know about this, but here's a good starting point for your research: www.sparkpeople.com/community/residentexpe

I want to inform our newspaper's fitness writer of SP's website. Where can I find info on awards or recognition from the medical field and fitness experts?
