Roasted asparagus and cremini mushrooms with some parmesan cheese and garlic.

Asparagus with cream cheese or a Greek yogurt dip (I had a jalapeno one, cheesy and spicy).

I make a frittata with salmon, sweet potato, asparagus, onion, mushroom and feta cheese, flavoured with thyme.

Brush asparagus with olive oil, Wrap a slice of Bacon around 5-6 stalks, repeat making a bunch for each for each person, and Place in heated (about 400 degrees) oven on cookie sheet w/sides or under broiler until bacon is crisp. Can be done on a grill using a grill pan. Optional, grind a little course pepper when done.

My family loves asparagus with everything. Our preferred way is to grill it with a bit of olive oil, fresh ground pepper, and a dash of salt. If we are feeling wild we will sprinkle a bit of freshly grated Parmesan cheese on it. We tend to eat a lot more chicken breast and other leans meats...enjoy!!!

Meatballs!!

I roast my asparagus in a HOT oven, then cover them with a little parmesan cheese and maranara sauce, then go to town on it! But if I had to add a protein, I'd add some turkey meatballs on the side (or saute the ground turkey then mix it right in with the marinara).

An asparagus stirfry is always good too, with shrimp or chicken :)

Agree with those who say that it goes with anything! Even alone as an appetizer when baked in the oven with a little olive oil.

I love asparagus paired with salmon. I recently found this amazing recipe that I can't wait to make again. We're past asparagus season locally, unfortunately.

ETA: You can easily halve the dressing part of the recipe. It made way too much.

Greetings!
DH and I just harvested our first batch of asparagus. We can't decide what protein to pair with it. Our goal this summer is to pick out protein based on the veggie side rather than the other way around. That way we get our veggies in.
Thanks
