I did watch the season premiere and, once again, wished I hadn't watched any of that show. I think that the way the contestants are treated is abusive and that the abusive behavior of the trainers (especially Jillian) gets worse every season. I don't think it's healthy to lose 10-30 lbs per week. I also know that they way they make those people exercise to the point where they end up having to ice their knees like that isn't good for them, either. A good trainer would help a person to lose a reasonable about (maybe 2 lbs) per week and would take into account that you can't (for example) make people with bad knees do a bunch of squats or think that someone who is 300+ lbs should run. I wonder how many of these contestants end up with injuries that last them a lifetime due to inappropriate training.
It's exploitation of desperate people (now of kids too, not just obese adults). It's abusive. It's not healthy.
so not a fan of Jillian but I have watched it since the first show. Love to see people make positive changes in their lives. Love the fact they are tackling childhood obesity.

Yes I watch the BL. I have watched it from Season 1. It does motivate me to exercse during the commercials doing push-ups, sit-ups, lifting weights (the commericial break is about 5 minutes long so I can get in my weight training during those commercials.)

Never watched it until now, I love Jillian so that's really why I'm watching it. I have mixed feelings about this show overall.

Nope. Not into any of the reality shows whose entertainment is to humiliate and embarrass other human beings. Besides, being an obese person, every person who watches that show knows what obese people look like under the clothing they use to try to hide.
I watched it last night and looking forward to tonight's episode too. I was disappointed the one woman left. I think it looked like Jillian was trying to over compensate for being gone 2 seasons. I seen her on T.V. (Dr. Oz) and she did say that she did not have a good team this time. I had the feeling she didn't like her team members. Bob and Dolvett were also on the show and Bob says people watching cannot expect to be doing the workouts like they do. (meaning 8 hours or more a day) Just not realistic.

Yes, I am watching it. Not happy with what happened on Jillian's team last night. I am curious to see how the rest of the season goes. I was really hoping that TC would last longer than he did.

Absolutely! SO not impressed with Jillian, though. Her programs made her rich and she is now cold and didn't even CARE that someone tried so hard and was demoralized by her -enough to leave. I heard her screech about Pam, too. I love the show and learn a lot from it. Too bad Jillian came back. She's ok on a video where she can't screech at you personally. I'd NEVER buy her, though. Totally wrong approach for me. Spark People and Spark friends gave me support - which I totally needed. I reached my goal and have maintained below it for 13 months. My trainer never, ever yelled at me - he was 100% positive ALL the time! I can be pushed to my limits, encouraged when I reach even the little ones, but never, ever demeaned! Jillian, go back to your private studio! Stay away from PEOPLE.

Yep, I'm watching it. I watch it mostly to see their training methods and how folks react to it. I also like that the show allows people to see that being overweight isn't just about food and exercise... there's almost always an emotional element involved.
I like Jillian. I just think that most of the people in the show aren't ready for that type of intensity. She might be a better fit for training a team getting ready for a Tough Mudder.

No, not a Jillain fan, and I don't have all those hours to devote to daily exercise, can't afford a gym or personal trainer or a meal planner and a cook. So That why I'm here on Spark! But I DO admire all those on the show that have lost or are losing!

I watched the first hour. I really don't like Jillian Michaels. I know it's all for show and TV but I just don't get how screaming at people like that helps. Bob and that other guy don't do that and nobody on their teams gave up.

I have never watched The Biggest Loser before, mainly out of shame of my own issues. However, I am definitely excited to watch it this year. I think my husband was scared of Jillian Michaels. lol
