This worked out fairly well though still 270 gm salt. I used half pack of dry Hidden Valley Ranch drsg mix with 6 oz Fage no fat plain yogurt and about 1/4 C 1% milk. This resulted in 1 cup of dressing and I used a quarter cup on my salad, this was 4 tablespoons, plenty: 35 calories, 4.5 g protein, 3 g carbs, no fat and tastes great. Perfect for my needs to kick up salad or fresh veggies!

I mixed half a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch drsg mix with 1 cup of plan Fage yogurt, fat free and tasted, seems perfect for low sodium, low fat solution to salads. I will let it sit overnight to sort of meld together. I did have to add a few tablespoons of 1% milk for thinning.
Thanks for the tip cuz I really need a GOOD reason to eat my Romaine !

Awesome, don't know why I didn't consider this sooner. This will make my salads more tolerable !

I've used Spark recipes so many times and have never thought to search for dressings there. Thanks for the suggestion!

Replace the mayo with yogurt and the sour cream with water, milk, or buttermilk (personal preference).

I am so tired of looking for salad dressings that aren't loaded with salt and I am trying to avoid mayonnaise dressing which I really like to make, but... I would like to use fat free plain yogurt to make a Ranch type dressing, any suggestions?
