50 is the perfect time to do all those things that you could only imagine during the first half of life. This is the best half of life, live it and do it well. As they say, live it like it is golden because it really can be if we so choose. Have a happy, healthy birthday and celebrate life.
Turning 50 (half century) was mentally challenging for me at first. But now (at 57) I still am enjoying life and still doing things everyday...

50 is great, myself I will be 65 next month and even this doesn't bother me, as age is just a number. Even with aches, pains, and medical problems I don't know where all the years have flown by. Enjoy each birthday, we all know the alternative, life is better .
Greetings, I turned 50 15+ years ago . This is the best time of my life. I realize what is important to me and what is not. Friends and family and faith. Enjoy each day. Sounds so trite but true. Be kind. People will flock to you. Be interested in your community and the country. ZZ

get into shape! Be the best physically-fit 50 you can be.
Turning 50 was my favorite decade birthday. I took the week off work and just indulged myself. Went to movies, got some of my favorite foods, slept late, lounged at home reading magazines. Went shopping, to museums. Just whatever I felt like when I woke up each day. No big plans, no stress.
You would love the gym I go to. There are SO MANY silver-haired members -- and they are really into getting into shape and staying fit. There is one woman who looks to be well into her 60s who RUNS the track every day. She looks GREAT! I think the seniors are also more friendly than the younger set. Anyway, every day counts, every meal, every exercise -- savor, enjoy the journey.
I'm in the same boat, that is, turning 50 in April. I have mixed feelings about this. I remember telling myself I wanted to be 'fit at 40' and now, it's fifty. I started the spark challenge and was able to keep two goals successfully - tracking Nutrition every day and drinking 8 glasses of water. I finally started exercising this week and feel motivated now that I finally started. I want to be able to age gracefully. I think I'm on the right path and will make every effort to keep a positive mindset and keep myself healthy. This is my plan of attack for turning 50.
I'm now 62 going on 63. Life is what you make it, so make it the best. My Mom used to say that once you hit 50 you start to realize that you need to live for yourself - not everyone else. Live each day thankful for all you have and are!

I'm 52 and I love it. I know what I like and don't like.Go to any nursing home and talk with some of the residents. After talking with some of them you are going to be thankful and feel younger.
Spend time with the people you love and who love you. Make time to do something for yourself and don't feel guilty about it, you've earned it. Laugh a lot, even at yourself. Give to others. Make time to fulfill at least one of your dreams. This is the best time of your life! Live it up....
Find a cardio activity that you love to do and do at least 5 hours per week, add good food, good friends, and good sleep.

The most important thing--for me--has been to get active. Do as much as you can whether it is walking 5 Steps or 500 steps. Don't worry about what you CAN'T do, and just focus on what you CAN do.

I was suffering so severely from every symptom of hypothyroid disease at age 40 that when I hit 50 last summer, happy, healthy, much slimmer and feeling much younger than I did at 40 you couldn't beg me to change my age back!
Celebrate being healthy and live like you're still young (you are). When you're 60 or 70, your 50th birthday will make you think you were young back then.
I tell you maybe it just me but I am going to be fifty on july 12 and this seem a big thing to me. I remember turing 40 and 45 and thought boy wow. But this is different it just seem like just a big deal during half a century. Any advice on how to do it well?
