I would, out of caution, go see a doctor to make sure that your symptoms are simply anxiety and then ask the doctor how to deal with the problem without medications. It just seems like there is really not that much downside to letting a trained medical professional give you an expert opinion.

Thankyou! I just had my first anxiety attack around the holidays last year and i had no clue what it was it took a few days for me to go to the doc, when i tried they sent me to the ER just so they could tell me it wasnt a heart attack...but i didnt think it was i just knew it was strange for me and painful since then i have had a few none as bad as the first but the pain that seems to stick around is what really gets me. I still dont understand how anxiety causes pain but oh well. I just hate when it seems to slow me down, thankyou for responding and i hope your anxiety gets better, i know it sucks.
I also have had chest pain and trouble breathing with an anxiety attack. I thought I was having a heart attack or heart problems. The doctor checked it out and my heart was fine. I know this may sound stupid, but I asked her if I could die from an anxiety attack. She said I would not; I would pass out first and start breathing normal. Iíve learned that when having an attack to recognize what is happening and try to kind of roll through it. It seems to help to know Iím not going to die and tell myself this will pass and do some deep breathing. I know this is something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. I also do not like to take a daily medication, but I do take Zanax when absolutely necessary. I hope you start feeling better soon!!!

does anyone else deal with chest pain from anxiety? how do you handle it. I wont take the medicine i don't like taking meds. A couple days ago i had an anxiety attack and since then i have had chest pains and i haven't worked out because, well its painful I feel even worse because i feel like a slacker...any opinions or like situations...id love any input
