I want you to email me and tell me that you are really proud of yourself because you should be! Take your kudos and give yourself kudos.

This is big.

I have the exact same t-shirt hanging in my closet that says: "I am alone because of my size".

These days I take it out for brief "viewings" and then I put it back in the back of the closet so every time I reach for it, it's a little harder to find.

Awesome for you!! I think it's a big success. Stress/emotional eating is a big problem for me and being able to resist as you did is big in my book. Yayyyyyyyy for you! Keep it up!!

so today i received news that a friend of mine is getting married in a few months. while i am happy for my friend, i felt sad for myself. you see, i've been "the heavy one" and single for all of my life. i've let my insecurity and low self-esteem do a number on me and i've shied away from relationships. so though i am happy for my friend, i am just reminded of how i let my weight control me so negatively. so what's my success?.... well, my gut reaction today when i heard the news was to grab a burrito and mope around my apartment....this would be my usual reaction to stress...... and my success is i resisted. i stayed within my calories and tried to eat healthily and hopped on the treadmill...granted fear set in about how i would look in my dress at my friend's wedding..... a few months away. i hope i continue to not get discouraged and stay on track with my goals.... but for now, i am actually a little proud i didn't cave!
