Good way to battle sleepless nights, and you got some good muffins out of it too. emoticon

That's impressive.. my bouts of insomnia are never that productive.. at least in part because if I get up I have two lively dogs wanting to play ball and two complaining cats wanting breakfast, no matter what the hour!

I LOVE the poem! Thanks for posting the link. It's another side of Marge Piercy with which I was unfamiliar. emoticon

I'm with Julia--and there's a wonderful poem called "attack of the squash people" by Marge Piercy. I've posted a link, because whether you grow them (and must distribute the extra) or whether you are every year gifted with WAY too many zukes, it's funny.

I had visions of you out creeping around your neighborhood depositing excess zukes on your neighbors' porches :)

I hope you made it through the day without falling asleep at your desk.

So 3 o'clock rolls around and my eyes are open for good. I just couldn't go back to sleep so I got up (trying not to make the floor squeak) and started baking. I made a half-batch of scratch zucchini muffins. By the time my son was up at 5:30 the coffee was made and the muffins were cooling. My grandson is coming tonight and he LOVES them. Now I'm at work and ready for a nap.
