Oklahoma. I LOVE this state, Born here, raised and plan to die here. We are very friendly people. We are the heart land. Farmers, Ranchers; Interstates I40 and I35 cross through this state; We are in the center of the United States and can drive to anywhere. We have quite a variety of weather with tornados, earthquakes and drought. We survive it all.

Missouri, or Misery, 'nuff said
Pros: Go Cardinals! If you don't like the weather, you need only be patient for 10 minutes lots of unpretentious, cheap and delicious wine, Norton FTW! otherwise, kind of 'meh' my family is here
Cons: If you don't like the weather, you need only be patient for 10 minutes my wife's family is not here
Even though I'm a MO native, I miss Iowa. Yeah, you heard me right. I miss Iowa. There really is no better place to raise kids, ride bikes, and eat sweetcorn.

Massachusetts! Pros: Historical, beautiful change of seasons, good medical care, schools, and health insurance, on the forefront for civil liberties, great sports fans, ocean and lots of great outdoorsy stuff to do. Cons: Very expensive to live here, property is outrageous, public transportation is lacking, and the roads are falling apart.

I live near Chicago, Illinois.
CONS: corrupt politicians (many have gone to jail, including a few governors), almost bankrupt, underfunded state pension for those of us who work for the state and have been paying our share, extreme winters and summers and little to no Spring, a lot of crime so that we can't go into the city to enjoy the good things there, congested roadways that we pay a lot of toll money for the priviledge to use, and a city school system that is embarrassing, including the head of the teachers union.

I live in IDAHO!
Pros: no one knows we even exist (they think we're Iowa, seriously), conservative state, very affordable, lots of outdoor activities in beautiful scenery, 4 distinct seasons (none of which are extreme), very friendly
Cons: Most of the public schools aren't very good, and are underfunded.
Pros: 1.5 Hours from Seattle, .5 Hours from Canada, Ocean or Mountains a half hour away, LOTS of trees and water and beautiful scenery, very liberal, lots of Coffee, deer walking around in my front yard (and I live in a normal sized city), and not too-hot summers
Cons: THE RAIN, the Canadians who come down to shop and don't obey the traffic laws.
Yeah, I love living here!

Pros: Moderate weather for about 9 months of the year. Pleasantly warm winters. Good for working out outside. Affordable cost of living. Lower gas prices than most of the U.S.
Cons: Illegal Immigration problems. The summer is WAY TOO HOT. Expensive electric/air conditioning bills from June-mid September. I miss seeing snow in the winter (I'm originally from WA state).

Pros-lots of beautiful history and historical places. We are in a zone where we can grow most plants and shrubs
Cons-Liberal state, High taxes and they are about to get even higher.
A lot of our beautiful trees here in Calirfornia have been cut down to build housing, and that is very sad.. That's one reason out air is so bad we need plants and trees.

I live in South Dakota and the pros are: lots of open spaces, great fresh air, very friendly people, able to have a garden, Cons: too long of winter months (it's Apr. 23 and we had 8 inches of snow yesterday), can't put winter wear away until the end of May, too far from my siblings.

I absolutely love all the trees in GA...but not so crazy about that yellow cloud of pollen we get to deal with every spring.
RE: The pros & cons The pros: My children love me. I am in love with my GF. I am a Pittsburgh Penguins fan and they are awesome. I love where I live (my house is big). I am in the best shape of my life and the sex is mind-blowing as a result.
The cons: Its weird, I got this weird thing where I make lemonade out of lemons......I hate it but I think it's my coping mechanism kicking in high gear all-the-time. ----------------------------------------
California: I lived in San Jose (1972-1973), my dad was a professor at San Jose State College (Now University) and then again on post at Fort Ord (on the Moneterey peninsula) 1987-1990, if you like 72 degree weather (300 days out of the year) with a slight breeze and a ton of sunshine after 10 am (fog before that time) and like the sound of barking seals, then that's the place for you. Pittsburgh is so much better for me.

I HEART, you must live near where I grew up. I grew up in Visalia and my folks now live in Clovis (next to Fresno).
I live in Colorado now, I moved here last May. I really like how sunny it is, and the views of the mountains are awesome. So far the only thing I don't like is that we've still been getting snow and it's near the end of April! I also like that people here are very nice, and there is a big airport nearby to get pretty much anywhere. Things like taxes here aren't too crazy too, which I like. I lived in Chicago for a long time and the taxes there are nuts.
The pros-I live in California. I love the weather. It has been in the 90's these past few days and will be 85 degrees today. I planted several tomato plants and have little green tomatoes on them already. I love that we do not have extreme winters, but our summers do get hot. I love my location as I am close to many beaches that I can get to in 2-3 hours. I am basically smack in the middle of San Fran and L.A. I am close to Disneyland and many other family fun attractions, I can get there play all day and get back home, or stay if I choose. We also have an awesome Zoo, I am very excited to take my Grandson to the zoo on Friday.
The cons- We have dirty air. I see more and more homeless people everyday. There is a lot of ran down neighborhoods, but they are places I never have to be. I hate when out of staters say our State has too much liter. So I guess California is dirty compared to other states.
