I can truthfully say that it is not easy at the beginning, but it does get easier over time.
As we learn how to use the tools and move toward a healthier life, then THAT starts to become routine. The body starts to crave movement. The water becomes much easier to drink, and one can start to figure out what is thirst and what is hunger.
I too find that reading posts and responding helps me. Also reading some of the motivating SparkPages. There are so many people out there who have overcome such great obstacles, that it makes me want to do better too.

I hate dieting. I am hungry and I want to eat. Reading your stories lets me know that I am not alone. Everyone is hungry and we all want to eat that is why we are all getting fat. Writing this helps me stay out of the refrigerator. Reading your posts motivates me to get off my lazy duff and walk. It is not easy for anyone.
