Generally rice doubles. I'm not sure if it's different if it's brown or white, or basmati vs. sushi vs. short-grain. For me, 1 cup of dry white long-grain rice = 2 cups of cooked rice.

I have bought some brown Basmati rice and was wondering how much cooked rice it would yield. I normally cook a cup of rice and store it. Thanks.
