I wrote out my action plan with mini goals and rewards. I give myself a happy face on my calender everyday I follow my plan - it only been a week and 1/2 since I re-started my healthy life plan but it is fun to see all the happy faces!

Oh, I wasn't criticizing having so many goals. You should have a lot more fun with so many goals to meet and never feel like you aren't making progress.
I wish you all the luck...though since you have such a great plan, you don't really luck!

I know what you mean, but I knew that with such a long journey I needed lots and lots of motivation and reasons to celebrate all the small successes that add up to meeting my bigger goals, hence all those milestones!

I don't have as many mini-goals as you have but the ones I have are important. Since they say that losing just 10% of your body weight brings improvement in your health, those 10%s are my mini goals. I've almost reached my 3rd 10%. After reaching my 2nd one, my doctor told me I was no longer diabetic and took me off the medication. So I know that it really works and helps motivate me.

It's great to write out your goals; it makes them easier to visualize. I've been trying that but I do mine as a goal for what I want to accomplish in a month. Started out having 3 months worth at a time, but now I just go month by month. Keep up the good work!

For some reason it really helps me to have little goals to look forward to so I created my whole weight loss plan with lots of rewards and celebrations built-in and wrote it all down since I seem to do better whenever something is visual. It goes in four phases from beginning to goal and a bonus phase in case once I get there I decide to keep going. My goal weight right now is technically still pretty far in the overweight BMI, so going further would still be realistic health-wise...
My weight loss path (with goals, celebrations & prizes)
Phase One 292- Highest weight 2012, I’m 5’10”, Size 3X and 22W/24W (Start) 290- PRIZE - Jump rope, Workout DVDs (DONE) 285- Old highest weight 2003 when I lost 76 pounds which I regained over about 9 years (DONE) 282- 10 pounds down trophy (DONE) 280- PRIZE - Juicer! (DONE) 277- 15 pounds down trophy (DONE) 272- 20 pounds down trophy (DONE) 270- PRIZE - New workout clothes, size 2X and 20W (DONE) 267- 25 pounds down and 25% goal (DONE) 265- Halfway out of 260-ville (Really soon! Hopefully this week!) 263- 29 pounds down is 10% body weight reduction goal and also weight range tracked on Fitday in MN in 2011 (low end of range) and in 2008 (at high end of range) 262- 30 pounds down trophy 260- $50 PRIZE (anything I want!)
