Oh my! Worst gift? So many... But generally the worst gifts are the ones people get you that they actually want for themselves - ha! So then they wind up using it more than you!

My DD received a box of Kraft Mac n Cheese. True, it was her favorite food at the time. Just a little strange lol.

I wouldn't say this was the worst gift I ever received just the strangest it was a can of soda wrapped in tissue paper in a gift bag.

a night gown from my cousin. Mind you, I LOATHE night gowns. I've hated them for years. I'm a PJs kinda gal. My cousin is the one who loved night gowns, not me. I kept it. it's in a drawer, some where. she also gave me a paper mache pin. it was her idea of funky jewelry. funky was being generous. it was an odd piece of jewelry. I still have that too.

How can you get a worst gift when someone took the time to think of you, honestly that's all that matters.

Patti, you reminded me! A couple of years ago my BFF gave me beautiful wire sleigh full of chocolate. At first, I was thrilled, I love chocolate, milk or Swiss chocolate that is.
The basket was full of every type of super dark ever made.
My BFF and her husband love dark chocolate :(
And MJeffereson, I got one of those what is it's for my BD this year. Fortunately one of my sparker friends figured out what it was!

a shower gel/lotion set from Bath and Body that made my head ache upon opening. Fortunately I was able to exchange it for a more mellow vanilla scent so I ended up happy
Even though my name is Patti, everyone around me knows that I am not a peppermint lover. I have had various people over the years, in particular one of my nephews, buy me boxes of peppermint patties (with him every year). I even have trouble finding other people to give them to -- and what's even harder is trying to fake my surprise and love for them so I don't hurt feelings -- I've seen the cheeks being bitten by other family members that know me when I realize what I am opening.
Bless all of their hearts!

A wiry something I still don't know what it is! A basket? A hanging planter? A wine bottle holder?

I would have to say the best - a diamond and emerald ring. My husband is wonderful about giving me jewelry. Also cash, which I like too.

My Grandma gave me soap (when I was around 15) with a picture of Jesus on it. I am not sure if she meant it as an ordinary religious gift or a "you need to cleanse yourself of your sins" gift... I wish I still had it as an adult though, you know to make my house guests feel uncomfortable

I was listening to folks call in on the radio about oddest gifts - a mom gave her vegetarian daughter a leather coat. The other daughter was laughing so hard telling the story. The mom couldn't figure out why that was such a big deal...the mom kept insisting, "well, she wouldn't EAT the coat!"

My mother gave me a silk blouse in a loud chartreuse green print that was 2 sizes too big. When I thanked her and asked her to return it, she told me she couldn't because she had purchased it at a goodwill thrift store. Well.....at least it was a donation to a worthy cause...from the original owner who donated it, to my mother who bought it, and to the goodwill box in my neighborhood.

Let's keep this fun please! I know and so do you that you should be grateful for every gift and kindness received. And that it's the thought that counts. But sometimes one must wonder what others think about us!
My worst was a scale ...and I wasn't trying to lose weight and hadn't even hinted that I would want a scale!
Another was from a boy friend: a 2X shirt in a color that would look lovely on a person with olive skin tones and dark hair....I wore a Large and am the whitest skinned blonde you could hope to meet. Snow has more color than I do.
Another was half of a set of "Shadow Cats". The other one was given to my sister. We each had our own homes....
I'm sure there were others over the years...underwear as a kid type things...But I'm sure you, my favorite spark peoples, can come up with some really interesting ones!
