Looks like there's a Richard Simmons video with '80s music:

I have no idea what's on it or if it's good, but it's pretty cheap, so even if it's not the best music, you're not out too much. (And based on Amazon's suggestions, it looks like there's a disco one, too, for '70s music.)

Yeah, that was what I suspected. I guess I hoped that, in the same way that Simmons got the rights to the songs on the STTO videos, someone may have gotten something similar to the music of the 70s and 80s.

Thanks for the suggestion. I might try that.

:-)

due to copyright laws and prohibitive costs, most commercial w/o videos use generic music.

when I do Pilates, I play my own music on the computer and use the DVD for visual cues. I can still hear the instructor.

this probably wouldn't work for a video where you are trying to exercise to the beat of the music. Possibly with some trial and error you could find your own music that kind of syncs with the beat of what's being used on the video.

Hi guys. I am looking for a video to work out to at home, with great music. I like what would be "adult contemporary". I am also of an age that I thought that "Sweating to the Oldies" might be appropriate, but those are a bit too old for me! ;-) On my workout playlist for the gym I have Madonna, George Michael, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and Bon Jovi (just to give you an idea).

Most videos just seem to have generic music, and I'm not inspired. Anyone got a recommendation?

Thanks!
