I get the same symptoms after an intense spinning class. I wonder what it is, I've gotten an MRI, but everything seems ok. Does anyone know why this happens and a solution for this?

Actually, this has happened to me after I teach a particularly intense spinning class. My eyes get totally blood shot and I've had friends ask me if I'm okay. Yes, I'm fine.
Why does it happen ? I don't know the exact reason, but I've read several sources that say it's due to an increase in intraocular pressure. This also happens to people who lift heavy i.e. body builders.
When you workout anaerobically your blood pressure rises. This can cause the pressure in your eyes to rise too. As a result, some people (like me or you) might experience blood shot eyes after an intense workout.
If this happens to you on a regular basis, you really should check with your doctor. Have them check your blood pressure, just to be safe. I haven't had any problems, but yes, this does happen to me occasionally. I really does depend how hard I am pushing myself. And my eyes do clear up quickly.

Not all that unusual, but I would suggest that you check with your doctor. It is always prudent to check with your doctor before for changing your activity level.

You may want to consider contacting your doc just to make certain there isn't a medical reason for this.
Does sweat get in your eyes? Because seriously, mine BURNS mine. I was on the treadmill tonight and for the last few minutes just kept my eyes closed cause they were burning. Perhaps the same thing is happening to you?
Does anyone else get this when they go to the gym? After a good cardio workout I'm always red eyed and a bit bleary looking/ I drink water during my workout and usually am reasonably clear-eyed in my everyday life (unless something allergenic gets me).
