I started with SparkCoach several few weeks ago. It was exactly what I needed to do. Many WooHoos: discovering how to cut 600+ calories a day, finding out I like running, signing up for my first ever 5K (it's a virtual one - never knew that existed), finally getting 8 hours sleep most nights (a big woohoo there!), jogging outside in public with stuff flapping everywhere and not really caring, and my latest woohoo was yesterday and it was HUGE - the immediate goal that brought me to SC was to lose fat; but discovered after yesterday's coaching session that my much bigger goal, which will make the largest impact on my well-being (and those around me), is to integrate Acceptance into my life (vs the Judgmental Person I have been up to now). Thank you SparkCoach!

I started Spark People 16 weeks ago. The first time I walked on the treadmill I walked for 10 minutes at 2 mph. I slowly progressed and even added strength training. This Sunday, September 9 I walked for 45 minutes, 5 of those minutes I walked 3.75 mph, the rest of the walk was at 3.3 mph, plus warm up and cool down. First time I was able to walk 3.75 mph. And when I started I didn't know if I would be able to walk at all!

Making a start with Spark People and committing oneself to daily involvement here generates momentum, which you can apply to getting your nutrition healthy, your exercise plan moving and overall changing your lifestyle. Woo Hoo indeed!
