once you weigh a few things and figure it out you can eye ball.. sometimes I use a measuring cup or my triple beam balance to weigh... food... like avocados... I weighed them a few times and now I look and say 90 grams for that one.

They can be purchased in most kitchen shops.. Anything over the internet will cost extra money to be sent.. Don't have to be fancy, I found one that even measures in both lbs and ounces plus kg and grams..

I asked recently if I should be counting raw meat or cooked and the answer was cooked. I had been counting raw. I weighed a cooked hamburger tonight and it weighed 3 oz The raw weight was 4 oz!! I had been entering too much! From now on I will weigh all my cooked meat. I wish Spark People had a digital foods scale so i could weigh my food accuratley. I only have an old set od scales and don't htink it is very accurate for small amounts
