there's no medical issues with either wearing them or not wearing them. If they can be a benefit with either performance or comfort then I'll get some but otherwise, just not sure about spending that on them. I'll have to decide either way but opinions from others that might have used them would mean more to me than a salesman. I definately asked the doctor about exercise and its okay.

I was just mentiong my dad because he was wounded in duty but also because his nurse always reminded him about caring for his feet and legs, sorry I forgot to mention he was in a wheel chair,I just picked it up from listening to his nurse alot.

If you're concerned about a specific medical condition you may be at risk for, the best person to ask for advice will be your medical professional; attempting to self-treat or prevent certain things without medical advice can do more harm than good in some cases!

I wear them to minimize fatigue and muscle movement during my long runs, which are 10+ miles.

I don't know if you need them just because; I wouldn't shell out for them unless a reason to wear them arises. In my case, they were recommended to me after I started dealing with shin splints. While I work on the cause (bad form) they have been really helping me a lot, and reduce the pain and swelling; I ran most of a 5k with some on, and had no trouble with my shins at all. :)

I don't think they'll help just because, and I'd avoid buying a lot of expensive accessories unless you need it. Springing the extra for a properly fitted pair of running shoes is about the best thing you can do. Anything else is likely unnecessary for most people.

Will compression socks help me run/walk? My husband and I have started a training program we found in runner's world and when we went to get shoes we considered compression socks but are sure of their benefits and there very constly.
