I just started doing zumba, we have a group that meets after work one day a week. I'd like to get a dvd, but after looking at some youtube videos I'm afraid that I won't like it.
Maybe I'll try checking out a zumba dvd from the library. Or maybe the video store if they have the wii zumba.

If you like it, kudos! I love love LOVE the live classes, but a friend offered me a zumba workout DVD and it was just bad. One, it wasn't fun, two it was far more simplistic than the classes I'd gone to...and it also felt like everyone there was trying a bit *too* hard to constantly remind you that this was latin. Suffice to say I gave it right back. It sounds like the wii is more like the live than whatever dvd I was offered, but for me the only place I have a wii is back home where I also have a gym membership and thus access to said live classes ^_^ I'm curious of the calorie tracking; do you tell them your stats? Do they use the wiimote sensors to tell how much you're moving around? I'd love to hear how their estimate compares to a HRM
I love doing this at least twice a week for at least 45 mins. by the time you are done you have sweat dripping down your face yet you feel energized just a few mins. later. Just don't quit don't give up. You can even create you own custom playlist. it wonderful plus your able to track how many calories you burned and also set goals.
