I don't think that will ever go away. As long as we have comfort foods and chocolate cravings, we will hear food calling our name. Not sure what is the best way to deal with it, just know for me I try to give in a little and still maintain control. Small steps seem to work better than leaps and bounds.
This is something I still struggle with. The best thing you can do is make a plan for yourself and stick to it. If you have a craving try and distract yourself, it will pass.
I truly believe that some of us are food junkies. I am one of them. As long as I stay away from my trigger foods I am ok but if I allow my self cookies or chips, look out. Its not fair, but life is not fair. For me, I can not have even one, for one leads to two, two leads to three and a week later a whole bag, every day.
just because it calls doesn't mean you have to listen... drown it out... play music, take a walk, window shop for what you want to wear someday online... those things always help me stay away from my weakness, sweets.

Because its natural to eat and its natural to want to eat. Its even natural to eat ourselves into poor health because our body is seeing an abundance of energy sources it wants to capitalize on.
But its not healthy and that's why you fight those urges. ;)
