It does, but the calories burned through strength training are minimal. My numbers are similar to the previous poster--anywhere from, say, 9-15 calories per 5 minutes.

It does... for me it's usually 11-18 cals per 5 minutes of each exercise.

Take your focus off the Marshmallow.

"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.
