To OP, it is just normal to have a gain on the scale sometimes. It isn't anything you are doing or not doing.
Looking at your stats, you are doing great. Hang in there, you'll have a nice loss soon.

I can really relate to this. Got on the scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in, and I gained a pound. Then I thought about yesterday, Father's Day. We ate pizza at an Italian restaurant, had bean burritos for supper, so sodium and more sodium. Today I'm back to my healthy eating and hope to see a loss next week. It's not easy, and I'm trying not to make excuses, but I'm older, am on several medications, so it's just a bit harder for me. I'm to the point that the weight loss is an added bonus, as long as I continue to be healthy, eat healthy, and MOVE!!

While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there will be weeks you don't lose. there will even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. This isn't the Biggest Loser. those type of dramatic losses are just not typical. there are many legitimate reasons you could gain weight that have nothing to do with how many calories you're eating.
Ever notice your weight goes up during TOM ? Most women tend to gain weight during their menstrual cycle. Is that a fat gain ? Nope, it's nothing more than a temporary water weight gain that passes in a few days. In short, you're probably retaining water. thus the increase in the scale.
What else can cause the scale to go up ? Not to get TMI, but did you weigh yourself after a bowel movement ? Your body's waste products have weight, so if you don't do a poop in the morning, the physical weight of all the food and water you ate the day before is still in your body. Food has weight. Water has weight. And both can cause the scale to go up even though you may do everything right during the week too lose.
There are lots of other reasons the scale could go up. The fact is, you're going to see many fluctuations on the scale as you lose. And this is perfectly normal.
There is more to good health than a number that stares at us from between our toes in the morning. I can gain or lose as much as 3-4 pounds in a day because of these fluctuations.
Don't worry, you're normal.

You added an oz? No biggie — I've heard 'round the boards that 5 lbs difference throughout the day is normal. Just keep plugging away. It'll probably all pop off all at once.

If you really are undereating, your body can go into starvation mode, and hoard what you have. Sometimes though, it takes a couple weeks for your body to show a difference. Your weight has many fluctuations between different times of day, if you carry lots of water weight, if you haven't had a bowel movement in a while. premenstrual cycles, all that and more affect weight. Just keep doing what is right and the scale will show it eventually.
My weight is day by day becoming more dependent upon Whose I am than on my circumstances and feelings.
Life here is a one-time deal. I want to live it well.

It actually added oz.. I don't know why. I excersice and eat healthy. Although I had my thoughts that I might be undereating.
