I think it's one of the greatest used of the internet there are. I've been hanging around SP for at least six years: it's not about loosing weight for me, it's more about being conscious of my diet, my actions, my life.... it's about being accountable and eating well. I can go for long long periods of time and then discover that I'm thinking of pretzels as nutrition, and I'm unaware and I BS myself a lot without really thinking I am. So, I have been getting off that train and moving slowly into more nutritious ways of feeding myself, both body and mind. I don't really have a lot of friends on the sight, I'm not really 'out there' but I'm open to everything and doing my best.
all i wanted was an "online nutrition journal" - after reading a few reviews and poking around a couple different sites, I thought I liked the look of this one best.
Turns out I got a whole lot more than "just" an online nutrition journal out of this place!!!!

I originally joined b/c SP seemed to have the motivation I needed to succeed with my goals. I'm thankful for that. Things changed when I found that there is a certain limit or line not to cross at SP. I thought SP intent was to motivate and elevate others, not discourage them from their healthy active choice of exercise. With all of the dangers and consequences of running I would not try to discourage any one from running. I, for one like running, but their comes a time when running does it's damage, Roller blades, ice skating, skate boards among other activities comes with the consequences but I'm not going to try and discourage others from using them. Exchanging positive energy levels with others raises the bar

I joined because I needed to change my lifestyle, I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, borderline diabetes and 35 pounds overweight. Last checkup my numbers were all in the normal range. Little changes are making a big difference.

My daughter told me about SP and that it was free (unlike WW). I was tired of carrying around the weight I had gained. I needed to change my lifestyle to become more healthy. I decided to try it for 3 months to see if it worked for me. I am 4 1/2 months in and I love it! It does the calorie counting for me. I have learned a lot from the site and am spreading the spark!

I stumbled on the site while reading a magazine at the hairdresser's. The article said it was an excellent site; so I checked it out, and it is. It is the greatest resource I have ever found for achieving a healthy weight/lifestyle.

I found it accidentally while surfing the web for a calorie counter. I was very impressed with the amount of info on it and loved the nutrition tracker for doing the math for me.
