I know the op's concern was addressed, but I just wanted to add that a dietician helped me to realize the importance of combining a protien and carbohydrate when I need a snack, it has absolutely been the answer to my problem with the shakes! FF milk and fruit or something like that. Lasts for hours for me!

if your calories burned number isn't accurate, then your ranges might be wrong. and if you didn't include your exercise, that could be why as well.

I think dietician Becky convinced me that I need to stop worrying about the 1-2 vanity pounds and so I just adjusted my goal to maintenance. My calorie range went up by almost 300 more calories. I realized I need more calories and I really think that was the problem. Maybe you do too?

I was browsing through topics and I noticed this one... I noticed since my diet change, I have been getting REALLY hungry about every 2 hours too and I get the shakes if I don't eat right away. It will be like a sudden starving too.
I don't really exercise all that much though so I am different than you on that aspect. Thought maybe I was becomming hypoglycemic but it really just started when I started dieting a few weeks ago... weird. Sorry to hear! I hope you get it figured out

Thanks Becky - I was hoping you would take a look at my question. I really am at an ideal weight for my height - but I gained about 3 pounds from not eating all that great and so I adjusted my weight goals so I could lose those pounds again. I get the shakes when I'm eating within my calorie range, so maybe it is just too low for how active I am???

I do not know how tall you are, but I see that you are already at 118 pounds. Are you already at a healthy weight?? Is your program set up with your current weight, exercise plan/calories burned, etc. Are you using about 1/2 to 1 pound lost weekly??

If these shakes are a daily occurance, you do need to see your doctor!

Thanks for the reply Sandie - I drink a TON of water - I'm in the bathroom every hour!!! And, this isn't the first time this has happened. I've been getting the hunger shakes daily ): So, it's not necessarily the raisins. And, I've recently become lactose intolerant, although I'm still eating yogurt which is my afternoon snack today. I've adjusted my calorie intake already by upping the amount of exercise I do, but wondering what else I should be doing as I still don't feel like I'm getting enough food! I shouldn't be shaky though after 2 hours, don't you agree???!!!

Your food journal looks fine. Are you getting in enough water? You could try grapes instead of raisins. The sugars in dried fruit is really concentrated plus for the calories you get a lot more grapes. Try having greek yogurt for the extra protein. If I am shaky it's usually protein that I need. If you are working out a lot you may need to adjust your calorie intake - more calories might actually help you lose.

I am getting plenty to eat - usually 3 meals and 3 snacks - all well balanced - good carb, good fat and protein. I had raisins and almonds 2 hours ago and I was so hungry I was shaking before lunch! I exercise A LOT, so maybe I need to eat more, but I'm not losing weight and I am at the high end of my calorie range per SP daily...what am I doing wrong? Feel free to look at my nutrition tracking on my spark page.
