More than likely you are not eating enough for the amount of energy your are using through exercise and development. Many athletic teen women need as much as 3,000 calories to support both. If you are not eating enough, your body stores energy to be sure it always has what it needs. Use this article to help you assess your intake or use the tracker for 3-5 days and see where you are coming out on average and then make adjustments from there.
Okay, so I really didn't think I would be struggling with weight issues again my senior year! I am extremely athletic. My coach and doctor say I burn from 600 to 800 calories a day( lower end on weekends). I wake up at the crack of dawn to go to yoga, the run a few miles over a 10K, then go to school, right after school I have swim practice for an hour, after which I head immediately over to the gym for strength training for boxing, finally I shower and head home. I guess maybe I eat too much? Breakfast consists of black coffee and some sort of fruit. Lunch is a salad with no dressing usually, and dinner is some sort of pasta or grilled fish/chicken. I do have a mean sweet tooth though. I have taken on the idea of a cookie a day will keep the binge away. So what am I doing wrong?
