Hello to everyone and wishing each of you a Great Holiday Season even in this kind of weather we are having...This topic is a good question for me, Who am I and what have I done to my body?? I think that's why I have not been successful in my goal of losing weight and maintaining it is because I really don't understand myself...when or under what circumstances I tend to eat much...I hope for this new coming year 2009, this will be a start for me...Thanks.

There is a famous quote that goes something like "The longest journey begins with one step." We see our progress and the journey is easier. What a kick to reach into the recesses of our closet and bring out something that seemed would never fit or had been years since it fit and suddenly, it does! Woo Hoo! and You Go Girl!

That is so fantastic! Fitting into smaller sizes was such a driving force for me as I made my way through my weight loss journey. I truly hope that this is the first of many similar, wonderful events that will transpire for you as your own journey towards reaching your goals continues!

Happy holidays & all the very best to you for 2009!

you have achieved the most difficult thing
now do not relax
what mistakes many of us have done in the past is to relax after climbing the mountain and thus we slipped.

Merry Christmas to everyone.
Congratulations on the loss it is a very wonderful feeling when you get into a smaller size clothing. Back in January of this year when my husband and I started to lose weight it seemed like forever before we were able to wear smaller sizes. keep up the good work.

I totally understand how u feel!! Just yesterday I tried on a pair of pants in size 12 & was amazed that they fit, especially since at the beginning of October, I was in a VERY snug 16W!! I'm very happy for your success and give u great applause for it!!

Congratulations!I know how empowering that feeling of accomplishment is.That's awesome! I have been a member of Sparks for a while, but never comment or actually participate. Here it is Christmas and I realize (after trying on the pants my mom gave me and I couldn't get them over my butt) that it is time to get serious again. In 2005 I lost 40 lbs with a system called Healthy Inspirations, but I didn't feel I could continue with their "no starch after 3 o'clock" rule, so I stopped. Of course, I should have taken the good things I learned with me, but I didn't. I have gained 30 pounds back (16 in the last 6 months since my total abdominal hysterectomy). I am making a commitment to get serious. I don't expect miracles, but I hope to make some progress. Please pray for me. =) Melissa R.

I know how you feel. I bought a new party dress for our office Christmas party (I have a picture on my blog) and it was a size 6! I had such a good time at the party, knowing I had worked hard and achieved my goals and that I looked GOOD!

You've done excellent work! Congratulations!

I put on a shirt today that I had bought as an inspiration piece and it so completely fit. As I looked at myself in the mirror I saw the beginnings of a skinny person looking back at me.

Seems like it was only a couple of months ago that I was asking when would what I see in the mirror line up with with I see in the closet and on the scale.
