I'd go with the treadmill. Aren't running apps meant to be used in conjunction with a GPS outside?

I don't have any apps but when I wanted to check the accuracy of my treadmill, I noted my start and stop times and the total distance I went. With this information, I used google to find a DRT (distance/rate/time) calculator. When I put in the minutes & distance, the calculator gave me my pace.
I've never seen an app that can accurately track pace on a treadmill - most require GPS and while some count steps, that can be wonky on a treadmill too. Whereas the treadmill knows how fast the "ground" is moving, and that's your pace. What data is the app collecting to determine your pace?
I've not used that app, so I'm not sure how accurate it is. Because of that, I would be more inclined to go with the treadmill because of it's programing, but hopefully someone who has used that app will post in here with their experience and let you know if they found it to be accurate.

On my treadmill it said my pace was 14:30 and my nike running app said my pace was 11:07 per mile. I'm more inclined to believe the nike app because my phone was on my person and I was actually jogging a good speed. There's quite a difference between the two paces. Which one is more accurate?
