I love whey low--both the gold and the regular. To me they taste exactly like sugar. And you can bake successfully with them.

I don't know why they are not mentioned more on sites like this and recipes--except that they are a bit pricey and hard to get in stores. But you can order them from their website.

Try a welcome order.

Why do you blend your sweetners when baking? Does it produce better results or is it to further reduce calories?

Has anyone here used Whey Low Gold? It is made from sugar, so is a reduced sugar item. It is very reasonable in calories, carbs, and sugar per servings. Since I'm Type 2 diabetic, I am very careful about using real sugar. In fact, since my Gastric Bypass in 2010, I still do not eat sugar, except for this product. The brown sugar only has 4 calories, 4 carbs, and 4 grams per teaspoon. It tastes like sugar and is used 1 to 1 to replace sugar in recipes. However, I blend Whey Low using half amount called for in a recipe and half splenda or stevia. This works very well and since you are using Whey Low, it makes for some very delicious recipes and works really well in recipes that require sugar to bake or cook properly.
Be careful though, if you are diabetic. If I eat more than one serving at a time, my blood sugar will go up a little, not much, but it does go up just a little. And, so far using this blended with splenda or stevia has NOT caused dumping.
I've had Type 2 diabetes for 30+ years, but the gastric bypass has given me extremely good blood sugar control, plus my cholesterol has dropped drastically. Just had 6 month blood tests from my cardiologist and he was positively beaming when he gave me the results. Everything was within normal limits, except my red blood count shows I am slightly anemic, for the first time since the Gastric Bypass. So, I've added geritol liquid to my vitamin/nutrient daily regimen. Feeling so good, I just am so glad I've got normal blood sugars and A1C! Yeaaaa!
