Self motivated yes, . . . but it's a WHOLE pile easier that my entire family is on board.
- Meals for the family are Healthy Food Choices.
- I am also challenged and encouraged by my adult son who is keeping pace with me in the weight loss (both over 50 pounds lost since Summer 2012). I have 15 more to go and he wants to loose another 50.
- I joined a small town newspaper "Health Challenge". We submit weekly photos, a brief blog, and they report weekly weight changes. The whole town keeps me accountable, providing more encouragement and accountability than support.

My dog also helps support me by insisting on daily walks. He's also there when I'm feeling down and out.

You have to drag it out of your own "gut", since it is always with you, others can't be, web sites can't be there with you when your sudden food decisions happen............learn from the errors and move on. It's up to you alone, in the end.

I've gotten a lot of help here. I'm also using sparkcoach for support as well.

I, too, am self motivated but I get support for this healthy lifestyle journey from my husband. He can support me, but he can't motivate me. That has to come from within.
