I don't look at this as a diet but a lifestyle change and all the changes I have made for me have made me successful, gave up smoking, diet sodas, eat as clean as possible. I track my foods and workouts on sparkpeople and for me that is a big success.

Everyone rides the rollercoaster in this theme park but when you focus on what you think you're giving up...or when you keep thinking "this is tough, this is tough"....then you don't give yourself a chance to change your paradigm. When you stop focusing on the pain of change, you allow yourself to enjoy it.
This is a quest for what we can become...physically, healthwise, and lifestyle wise. It's a change in mental attitude, and commitment. And the horizon keeps moving as you develop...it just means that there's always something you can do to improve on...or maintain.

In terms of successful, people for who,,the diet thing is going well.
Look at the thread are you feeling positive or negative, most posts report positive. Maybe people don't want to post negative thoughts/ struggles?
I see many struggles on here, you are only seeing what you want to see. You seem to have it in for the well doers here. Sorry that you are struggling, but we all have out struggling times.

How do you define "successful people?"
I am "successfully" losing some weight - but i'm still well over 200# with a future filled with some-good-days and some-bad-days awaiting me. Am I successful because I've lost some? Or not, because my journey is still too new to be able to evaluate my success?
If you open a thread entitled "how do you stay positive" you would expect to see positive answers.
There are plenty of people posting their struggles and challenges every day - they just tend to post in the Panic/Help section or the Staying Motivated section rather than the cafe.
Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE** Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE** Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

In threads such as, what did you tell yourself today and such, people are so positive.
Are only the successful people posting? Or am I the only one with doubt and struggle?
