I know it may sound bad, but I am trying not to weigh in weekly anymore. I've been doing significant weight training along with the cardio and because of the increased muscle mass, the scale doesn't always reflect my weight loss in pounds - even though my pants are fitting looser. I really don't want to get discouraged and I think the scale can play a lot of tricks on the mind......
I as well weigh in later in the week. I used to weigh in on Thursday mornings but did a challenge with a friend and my weigh in day changed to Friday. It has been there ever since. I really like it on Friday morning because of the uncertainty of meals the weekend holds.
My normal weigh in day is Monday but I always dread it after a weekend of varying meal environments. The digestive process is ambivalent at best an Mondays often set me up for low self esteem simply because of water retention. I have found that weighing on Thursdays as well is more forgiving and today I weighed in 2 Lbs less than Monday. I feel I can build up momentum to keep my streaks going over the weekends so that the scales do not bob up and down again. I think this strategy will serve me for a while. Wish me luck!
