I work out at lunch or after work. I am NOT a morning person (no matter how hard I try). I need breakfast and a cup of coffee!! I don't feel like I lack metabolism by working out later in the day. Most articles here on SP (as a previous poster mentioned) seem to say there really isn't much of a difference! To each his own. It's a lifestyle choice that YOU have to make for you! I admire you morning people!!

Until recently, I never understood how so many people could work out in the morning. I'm not a morning person, and I couldn't imagine that so many were. I found it a struggle to get up by 7:30 a.m. to be at work by 9 a.m. However, over the past few months, I've really worked on getting my sleep schedule consistent and making sure I get eight hours of sleep, which I desperately need to be functional. Usually I work out after work, heading straight to the gym from my office. But since I got a spinning bike for Christmas, I've started moving my bedtime (and, subsequently, my wake up time) to fit 45 minutes of exercise in before work--and it's easier than I would have thought. While I try to work out both in the morning and afternoon, if something comes up in the evening, I don't feel so guilty about not going to the gym. Good luck!
