Like the pp suggested, if you haven't had a physical in a while, it's not a bad idea.
And I'd add, that 1200 calories a day is the bare minimum for a sedentary woman-- if you're getting regular exercise, you may not be eating enough. When there isn't enough food, our bodies conserve energy to keep our bodily functions going. And at the same time, they resist using up our fat. A really helpful mechanism in case there's a natural disaster and the food disappears-- keeps us going longer til more food arrives. But not at all helpful, for weight loss.

I agree with the previous post. Ask your doctor to check your thyroid. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago. Up until that time, I had never had difficulty losing weight. (maintaining it yes, losing it no) I'm also struggling to lose despite exercising more than ever, staying around 1200 calories a day, and drinking all of my water. I am going to ask my doctor to change my thyroid medication. There is a quiz you can take at thyroid.about.com to see if you have symptoms of being hypothyroid. Hang in there!
I'm also struggling to lose weight, even thought I'm logging my food and exercising 5-7 days per week. I've been actively "trying" to lose weight since last January (2012) and have managed to lose 6 lbs...that's it. My goal is to lose 48 lbs total.
I've also had the suggestion to consult a doctor and I'm seriously considering it. I've had my thyroid checked in the past, but that doesn't mean there isn't a problem now.
Probably worth at least a discussion with your physician.
Ok, background...I have an extra 25lbs on my after having my 2nd baby. Before pregnancy I had lost about 30lbs and kept it off for 2 years.
My baby is now 1 year old, I cannot lose this weight! I eat 1200-1500 cals/day. I go to the gym at work as often as I can (usually 3-4 days/week) and usually do cardio burning aboout 230 cals. I have lost 1 pound in the last 2 months!
I dont understand. Im trying SO hard and Ive been sucssessful before, why isnt it working now?
