I will jump for joy, maybe cry a little, dance around my house and have a moment! Then I'll jump back on the fitness wagon and keep on goin! I wanna stay fit and active and maintain my weight; no more of this up and down business!
However, I WILL be getting my dream LBD (little black dress), some sweet heels and bag and will go out for a night on the town with the husband. Maybe I'll get myself something sparkly (like a ring or set of awesome earrings) so that I can see them every day and remind myself that consistency and hard work pays off and that I can't give up once I achieve my goal. Great post and great ideas everyone!

My ultimate goal is maintaining good health for a lifetime so in that I'll never be at goal. When I am at a healthy body fat % and weight I have 5 things I'd do:
1 Keep thanking God for helping in this journey because I have failed at it so many times before but with his help this time I am succeeding.
2 Run a 5k with my 9 year old son who is also suffering from childhood obesity and is working out with me to get fit.
3 Run a mud run with my son.
4 Enroll in an all women beginner surf school. I already found a beautiful one in Costa Rica.
5 Go with my family on a week long backpacking trip through Yosemite.
Things like clothes and finishing college is just a given since no one wants to see this naked lol Plus school is for me to know I finally finished and set a good example for my kids.
If I even realize it I guess I'll just smile and keep doing what I'm doing - eating healthy and exercising. I've decided that the scale has ruled my life to long, no one knows what I weigh unless I tell them and I'm on this journey to be healthier and happier with myself. I'm concentrating more on eating the healthiest foods that I can and less on calories. I eat enough to not be hungry - not to be happily stuffed - I have to relearn what healthy portions are.

1.Buy new clothes. 2. Donate clothes that no longer fit or clothes I think no longer look good on me.
You will definitely need new shoes after losing weight! When I weighed 250lbs my feet were a size 10 and now at 155lbs my feet are a size 7! No one had ever told me that when you lost weight your feet do also so I was kinda freaked out at first when I noticed my feet getting smaller LOL!

Probably tell lots of people! Then buy lots of new clothes and take anything left that's too big to the charity shop.
Probably cry at first, when I go under 203 and then 196. Happy crying. But I have not been under 200 pounds since September 1993. I checked into a psychiatric hospital for a really hard but needed stint at 196 and came out three weeks later at 203. Never got under since then, and it makes me sad that I've done this to my body for so long.
When I get to 180, I intend to buy all new clothes, and maybe shoes if my feet are noticeably more narrow. Right now all my shoes are stretched out to accommodate 300 pound feet. I may just need a couple of cute pairs. I'm not shoe crazy or anything, but that's just a practical wondering at this point.

Eelpie, that's wonderful!
It's also WILD because I have a very similar goal. I already bought the stone (a small star ruby) and I'm saving a little bit of $$$ for every pound that I lose (for the ring setting and some new clothes).
Until that I reach my goal, I'm enjoying life and having fun,

Keep resetting my goals until I read my healthy weight. Then I will try to maintain my healthy weight.
Buy new clothes! Right now I hate shopping for clothes.

i say don't put off rewarding yourself along the way .. small rewards to look forward to are a great motivation tool .. i have slowly been buying clothes that i want to be able to wear all along .. i put them where i can see them as motivation tools .. i too will set new goals for maintenance as i have lost and gained it back too .. it is harder to maintain than lose as calorie count gets lower and lower .. a vacation (one where all my weight loss is an asset) but MOST OF ALL, truly, a breast reduction (and perhaps a tummy tuck), which will also give me a breast lift ..i am tired of back aches, and shoulder pain, and not being able to wear lots of tops because of humgous saggy breast .. so there ya go .. that would be my ultimate biggest reward if i can make it happen financially ...

I'll keep tracking. And keep doing what I am doing now.
I don't live my life waiting for tomorrow. If I want to do something, I do it. I wear cute, sexy clothes, travel, go to the beach...I would hate to get hit by a bus on the day I hit my goal weight and never have had a chance to experience all of the things I want to do.
I'm working on losing 20 pounds for my sister's wedding this summer. I've got my eye on a sexy dress on pinupgirlclothing.com as a reward for my hard work which, *bonus* will be a perfect outfit for the wedding. :-)
That said, I try not to get too hung up on ultimate rewards because I've spent too much time already believing I couldn't do/have/wear/be certain things until I obtained a specific number on a scale. Now I'm pretty much just living my life, being good to myself and looking forward to meeting my goals because it will mean I'm in a good place physically.

I've set my current goal to hopefully coincide with a trip I'm taking this summer with friends I haven't seen since college, so if everything works out, I'll be with some of my favorite people when I hit it. I'm already committed to it, which really drives me to stay on track with my diet and exercise.
I might cut my hair, too. I'm starting to be able to sit on it, so I think it's time. That will make me drop a few pounds right there!
Well, I hit my goal, and am planning on continuing to track my foods and increase my fitness for the foreseeable future - I can't be trusted to not go overboard otherwise!
I had to buy new clothes, but have been careful with the budget and have a pretty utilitarian wardrobe.
However, for me - it's all about the leather... I bought the utilitarian leather winter coat, and the ever-so-practical leather spring/fall jacket... and the Man bought me the skin-tight cropped jacket simply because it was the first thing I've ever worn that made me feel "cute"!
THAT jacket is my reward, as well as my reminder to keep on the path (there's only just enough room to breathe in it, so if I gain more than a few pounds, it will let me know)!

I'm with LKG "Since I have hit my goal before only to regain, I am planning to move forward with caution. Past experience tells me that maintaining can be even more challenging than losing weight! "
Buy I like Eelpies idea too! I think a nice ruby on my eating hand as both a reward and a reminder is a nice idea!
Since I have hit my goal before only to regain, I am planning to move forward with caution. Past experience tells me that maintaining can be even more challenging than losing weight! I will be doing the following to help myself out:
- Joining a maintenance team on Sparkpeople - Continue low-carb eating. Change my eating from weight-loss mode to maintenance gradually, keeping a close eye on my weight to make sure it remains stable - Broaden my exercises to include more strength and stretching

I'm going to set a new goal. I know that I need to lose more than 39 lbs. but figured it was a good starting point. Plus, I set my goal so that I could hopefully achieve it by my 39th birthday in May. It gave me something tangible to shoot for. To celebrate it though, I was thinking of either changing my hair style or getting the tattoo I've been always wanting but afraid to get.
i have found that with losing weight comes buying clothes. when i reach goal my daughter and i are heading into eccentric shops in chicago to buy really obnoxious pants! if i can find zebra stripes or cheetah print jeans i'm buying them!
What will you do, go on vacation, will you color or cut your hair will you donate your old clothes, will you start dressing sexy?
I jumped the gun! I needed a change so I cut n dyed my hair its not that short in comparison (upper back) but not good enough for my husband who's hair is in his lower back.......... yikes he hates it (I have to admit dont like it so much, not one of my better decisions). Getting cabin fever tired of winter need to do something, should have opted for a wig! Hoping it will grow back by the summer (fingers crossed) or at least fit my face when I loose some weight!
I hope to get back into my regular SEXY and tasteful clothes that are just on display in my closets
