I would video tape what she tells you because you probably won't remember the exact proper way to do the exercise and you can review it at home until you have it down correctly. I'd work on core exercises for your back and abs so you can build strength there to start with. I'd listen to "start easy". My husband had a trainer for about 2 sessions and then was SURE he knew more than the "kid" and then he did it on his own and pulled his back. Start with LITE weights.
