I echo everyone's sentiments regarding your stomach pain - you may have a condition or food allergy that you're not yet aware of.
In addition to healthy snacks and seeing the doctor, though, you should try to commit to getting up from your desk for a few minutes at least every couple hours. Here are some things that might help with the weight loss - you might not be able to do them all, but a few might go a long way:
- Use a yoga/stability ball instead of a regular desk chair - Walk to a co-worker's desk instead of calling them/emailing them with a question - Go for a fifteen-minute walk on your lunch break - Stand when you're on a phone call - Do push-ups/jumping jacks/whatever in your office (10 at a time, just to get your blood flowing) - If you have a printer/scanner/copier in your workspace, place it far enough away that you have to get up and walk over to it to use it - Keep a small water container on your desk so that you have to get up and refill it more often than a large one
Just a few ideas - but really, go see a doc!

I agree that you should go see a Doctor. Having a stomach ache because your stomach is empty isn't good.
Oh how I understand! I also sit at a desk all day. Here's what I have done to change my snacking habits. I get to work at 7:30- I eat my breakfast at 8 At 9:30 I have a snack such as a sliced apple or a cup of fat free yogurt At 11 I go for a 30 minute walk (this delays when I eat my lunch) At 11:30 I eat a a light lunch, such as a sandwich or a bowl of soup At 1 I have a bag of 100 cal microwave Kettlecorn At 3 I have another snack such as baby carrots with hummus or celery sticks with salsa At 4:30 I go for a run and then I head home.
As you can see I eat all day long. Hope this helps and maybe gives you an idea of how to tame the growling tummy tiger!

you can eat all day long but you need to spread out your meals over the day and not have big meals and eat all day long

Can you tell us what you eat? There are healthy choices out there. I, too sit at a desk all day long. I usually eat every two to three hours but my choices are healthy ones like baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, fruit, laughing cow lite cheese wedges. I also keep a log with everything I eat so I know when I am about to exceed my caloric daily limit.

I sit at a desk all day unfortunately. I eat all.day.long. If I don't eat, my stomach really hurts bad. I've been trying to lose for 3 years now.
