The best protein powder is the cheapest one you aren't allergic to. Also the one with the least other crap (that you don't need) in it.
I tried to use whey protein isolate from the local bulk store ($11.99/lb) until I quickly realized I'm allergic to it. Then I started using rice protein powder (comes in a tub from the health food store, but there's only one brand IIRC) and egg white powder (again, bulk store, also cheap--also possibly at a baking supply shop), generally mixed. Then, I simply started eating more meat, eggs and egg whites and stopped adding needless calories in near-workout shakes!

I use Designer Whey vanilla protein. I don't use the FULL scoop that comes in the can, I just use 2 TBSP at a time.

ADEARMAN- after looking at your nutrition tracker, your diet is very carb heavy. If you work on decreasing your carb intake and choosing healthier carb options (vegetables, fruit, legumes/lentils, whole grains) while decreasing your intake of refined carbs and foods with lots of added sugar, you can focus on putting more calories toward protein. Not to mention some of the foods I just listed will also help your overall protein intake.
Protein doesn't solely come from meat and dairy. I weightlift and I don't even use protein supplements... it's just not necessary. Learning to balance your diet will serve you better in the long run than using a Band-Aid solution.
I have a whey protein from Six Star in triple chocolate flavor. I use it most mornings to make a shake with coffee and some banana. I use this as my breakfast because it is filling enough for me. I also have a hard time getting enough protein because I just don't like meat. I do like seafood, though so I'm trying to find more ways to add seafood. I also have eggs pretty often.

Is there a particular reason you cannot get enough protein in your diet? Are you a picky eater? Have food restrictions?
You only need about 60g it's really not that difficult to get and it's much better to get protein from actual food than a drink especially when you're on a calorie deficit. Whole foods will keep you more satiated than a shake.
There are plenty of sources of protein; lean meats (chicken, turkey, pork, fish/seafood, lean beef), eggs/egg whites, tofu, legumes, low fat dairy (cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, milk, etc.), nuts/nut butters, seeds and whole grains.
I just don't want to see you having to rely on such an expensive crutch for the rest of your life when you can get enough protein by learning how to eat balanced and healthy.
What protein powder should I buy? I need one that is low fat and low calories. I need extra protein in my daily diet because I do not eat enough foods with protein. I also need one that tastes great. Any suggestions? Please also include where to purchase it. Thanks!
