One of the NSV (non scale victories) for me, was the hill up to the parking lot at work. It's a steep hill. Before I started Spark, it used to feel like I either needed to sit down and rest halfway up that hill, or maybe there should be paramedics at the top, to meet me with oxygen or a gurney or something. Now I can do that hill, no problem.
It's not *all* about the scale!

Nine weeks in, I haven't lost as much weight as I had hoped to by now. As in, I've lost hardly any.
But today I went to the doctor, where I proceeded to become exceptionally lost and arrive late (which I hate) for a very stressful appointment.
In spite of this, my blood pressure measured well within a healthy range, after two years of pre-hypertension bordering on high blood pressure. I have a family history of high blood pressure and was pretty disappointed when it started for me at only 23. It seems my renewed commitment to exercise has helped banish it for now!
This gives me motivation to keep going, even if the number on the scale is not moving much. I can tell I have more definition, and I've gone down a cup size (yes, a good thing!) There's a 30 minute yoga video on youtube I've been doing on and off for years, and this week was the first time I've ever been able to complete every repetition. But now I have evidence that my health is improving, too.
