During the warm weather I have been going in my pool pretty much everyday for at least 1 hour. When the weather gets cooler, I'm not sure what I'll do. As for weight loss, I started at 215 lbs. in late April and I have only been able to lose 1 lb. a week. I'm thinking of increasing my calorie consumption from 1100 to 1450 calories a day to 1200 to 1500 calories a day. Perhaps my body isn't getting enough calories with the exercise I've been doing and it's going into "starvation" mode. It's discouraging to read about people losing 2, 3, or 4 lbs. a week when I'm only losing 1 lb. a week. The good thing is that at least I'm losing, not gaining.
I have been doing weight training 3 times a week for one hour and cardio 3 times a week for at least 45 minutes or more. I started out weighing 215 lbs and now I weigh 212. I have been doing this faithfully with a trainer for 6 weeks and only losing 3 lbs! I am only eating between 1300 and 1600 calories a day. I am getting kind of discouraged. Any one else having this issue???? please help!

primarily I walk. I wear my pedometer every day and get at least 12,000 steps in. On the weekends I do a 2 hour hike up a mountain near my home. Depending on the time of year I also swim some and occasionally take a yoga class, but I only track my walking.
