Wide hips, wide shoulders and small waist. At normal weight I always had to have the waist taken in on clothes to make me look shapely. Maybe this is called hourglass with a little more sand at the bottom.

Pear/hourglass. More of an hourglass since getting back into exercising regularly. My butt is alot rounder and looks bigger which I definitely like better than flat and wide.

Once my Senior Year of high school hit, I grew into my hourglass shape. It's kinda like BAM chest, ohey a real waist, and BAM hips. I do, however, collect my weight in my center and thighs I notice, oh and the lovely arm flab.

I have no idea. My body shape has changed so many times since I had kids . . .

I have a fairly small chest. I tend to put on weight in my tummy, but not in my butt. I do have a discernible waist and big but not huge hips. :)

I'm an apple shape. Always have had a big belly, even as a child I had a poochy belly. If only I could take the fat off my belly and put some of it on my flat butt! LOL

I'm pretty lucky that even at my heaviest, I've never been majorly out of proportion. I do have junk in the trunk, but not to the point of having to shop in plus size for pants/skirts.

Right now... I'm a little...pear shaped. At least, I guess that's what I am. My hips are definitely larger than my shoulders at this point in time. It doesn't help that my thighs are kind of chunky these days.

There still isn't much difference between my waist and hip measurement. My hips and legs are fairly slender. I buy maternity or stretchy waist pants/skirts that fit my hip size because regular pants/skirts that fit my waist have a baggy fit everywhere else.

You are lucky to have hips! I can't do belly dancing at all because my body proportions are totally wrong for it and I look completely ridiculous. I think my hips are about 43" at the moment, but a lot of that is because my belly (where all my remaining fat and loose skin reside) is included in that measurement. So the difference between my waist and hips is really only about 4-5" sans belly.

So I guess that I am an hour glass, but with narrow hips. My SO says that I look l look like a Barbie doll--lots of boobs and not much of anything else anymore. Mostly he says this to annoy me, but there is a grain of truth there.

My weight has NOT come off the same way it went on, but a lot of that is due to metabolic disorders. My hands and feet are now smaller than they have ever been in my adult life--I lost a whole shoe size and at least one ring size. My body has completely rearranged itself--not in an unattractive way, but it's just not what I expected at all.

Dances: salsa (standard/LA), casino, rueda de casino, cumbia Colombiana, cumba Mexicana, bachata, mambo, cha-cha-chá, merengue, reggaetón.

Dances to Learn in the future: flamenco, tango Argentino, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, danzón, Cuban rumba, ballroom rumba

At the moment, apple. But i think i'm more of an "inverted triangle" when not overweight... big on top, narrow hips, waist not well-defined. I guess we'll see if that shape from yesteryear re-emerges once i get rid of my Apple Fat :)

I'm at goal now, but I am still very much shaped like a pear (just a smaller pear than I used to be!), having a smaller waist and a larger booty and thighs. I wouldn't mind it if my butt was rounder, but it's sort of flat, which I absolutely hate. (My kids tell me I have NO butt!) I've been walking a lot of hills with bigger strides as I was told this may help my cause! I was also told to wear jeans with pockets for added "volume" with respect to my backside. Lol!

lol I know that feeling!! I am the definition of an apple shape!!! All my weight is right in the center. and I always took pictures of myself from the neck up. It wasn't until I saw a full body picture of myself that I said, "who the hell is hiding under my shirt!!!!!"

I...am bottom heavy. I mean, I know I have a large backside and wide hips and thick thighs. It's the body shape that attracted my kids' father (and former boyfriends when I was in high school...I've been with my kids' father since I was 20). I mean, I always kind of knew that since puberty hit. However, yesterday, looking at myself in the mirror in one of the older bathrooms at the art gallery, it REALLY struck me how much like a pear I really look. My measurements are currently 43-39.5-54...I mean, WOW. That is just...dude.
