It also gives information on the recommended Food Guide servings of each food group per day for men and women (divided into age groups). I look at the packet but if there is nothing there I take it as being 100 grams
As a child the campaign was 'a serving fits in the palm of your hand'. That has been drilled into my head, so its what I go with. I count all fruit as 1 serving unless it is huge, and for cooked veg I just imagine how much would fit in the palm of my hand... Don't know if that helps!

It differs. And it's confusing haha. but that chart is helpful.
What is a serving of a vegetable? For example, does one cup of broccoli equal one serving? What if it is steamed? Two cups of broccoli usually make 1 cup steamed? How about greens- turnip, mustard, swiss chard? They fill a pan but after they are steamed , they make only a couple cups? What is a serving of fruit? How is it measured? They vary quite a bit in size. I would appreciate if anyone could clarify this.
