The Living room becomes my gym. I have a stability ball, 2 lb weighted balls, 2 lb dumb-bells, long tube resistance bands, and pilates stretchy bands. I plan on adding heavier weights as my strength builds.

I push our living room table to one side so I can do kickboxing DVDs when the weather outside is bad. I have a stability ball, a yoga mat, and a few dumbbells. It seems to be working well enough for me, but it sure would be nice to have a whole room to mess around in.
elliptical (traded in my treadmill), stability ball, 5 & 8 lb weights, workout dvds, yoga mat, xbox & wii fitness games, stationary bike...have to say, right now my jazzercise dvd & just dance 4 on xbox are my favorites :)

I don't have a room that I can use solely for my home gym, so I have a treadmill in one guest bedroom; light weights, medicine ball and resistance band are in a decorative storage box in the livng room, where I use them in front of the television, or while watching a fitness video on the computer. Stability ball is upstairs, and I generally use it in the hall.

I was lucky enough to find somebody who wasn't using their treadmill. Because I hauled it away, they gave it to me for free! It's in good shape, too. I also have a stability ball, dumbbells, and my computer. I use my computer to do SP exercise videos!

I have a treadmill in the family room. I also have a stability ball, handweights, resistant bands, and 2 different kinds of steppers. I haven't used any of those because my house is small and I had no where to use them. (We used to go in the basement until my son moved back home.)
Now that my son has moved out, we are going to turn part of the basement into a workout room. I want to get a tv and some workout videos, too.
How could I forget my xbox!!! I was doing Zumba this morning!

Nordic track ski machine, treadmill I'm learning to appreciate, bowflex gym (my fav) dvd's, yoga mat, stability ball and light weights and bars scattered throughout the house so no matter where I am I can use the weights and ball or do five mins on the treadmill or just lunges and squats on the spot. Most equipment is in the basement but I find strategically placing other equipment around reminds me to do more without impacting the 'look' of my home.

I have built up my gym over the years so I didn't buy these items at once.
Treadmill elliptical weight bench free weights (3,5,8,10,12,15 lbs) exercise ball exercise bands DVDs XBox live exercise programs
We have a heavy duty elliptical like at the gym- it was a good investment for snowy mornings when I don't want to trek out to the gym. I go to the gym most every morning, but at home for those occasional mornings when I want to sleep in, I use the elliptical, exercise ball, resistance bands, yoga mat, 5, 10, 15lb dumbbells, and dumbbells and plates that can get me up to about 60 lbs. I'd like to add a small bench and a bar for my birthday.

treadmill, elliptical, weight bench, weight rack with various weights, ball, bands
We were finally able to get a home gym when DD1 moved out 8 years ago. We redid her old bedroom with a baseball/football theme. The wall are painted Dallas Cowboy blue and grey. Dallas Cowboy curtains. On the walls are decals and posters.
I have a treadmill, recumbent bike, gazelle, weight bench, free weights and kettlebells.
Even though there is a TV in there if I want to oo a DVD I have to do it in the family room because all of that stuff pretty much fills the room.

You guys are giving me great ideas. I mostly use my rower and resistance bands, but now I think I'll go through my DVDs, haven't used any in awhile. Also haven't visited the hand weights or stability ball in years...
I have a book shelf full of dvd's, I have a chest with my Powerblocks, resistant bands in 4 different tension, tubing in different tensions, weighted gloves, wrist weights in 1, 2 and 3 pound increments. Yoga blocks (I'm not sure I've ever used them but found them cheap), recently added fire walker loops. A family of Kettlebells....high step, club step, Power tower, barbell, plates. 12# body bar, 3/4 in matting so as to not disturb the neighbor when stepping...furniture movers, And my computer (I like to keep track of my workouts) and a stability ball that doubles as a desk chair.
I think that's it that's over there. I do use a dining room chair every now and again.

Right now just dumbbells and a resistance band. Will add more as I go along!
Home gym? Well..there is a stability ball in the corner...a mat rolled up on the other side of the couch and some dumbbells and resistance bands stuffed along side the mat...and oh..a DVD player.... I am fortunate enough to have a gym membership so I do get to do the machines
It looks fabulous ....... I blogged on it a while back ............ "My Secret Hideaway" ............ it is my haven private from the rest of the world ............. Desk and PC overlooks a big yard and nice trees .................. My photo gallery and plants surround me and a wonderful stereo system to rock out to ............... FOR EQUIPMENT ............. my Body Fit bike ......... and my weights, kettleball, and stgretch ropes all tucked neatly in a pretty basket ............... I made it a place I 'want' to come to ................
I have a treadmill, bench, bar and plates, adjustable dumbbells, rack, yoga mat, DVDs and YouTube. I also have a stationary bike I don't really use anymore, and my husband has a heavy bag and speed bag if I wanted to use them.
We have a Bowflex Ultimate 2, a treadmill, stationary bike, free weights, bosu, Swiss ball, and about 50+ DVDs. It's easy to get to in the basement...so it's more likely to get used.

Another gym rat here.
I do have a barbell with 20 lbs on it (that I dug out of my closet last week. Used to be my dad's), a set of resistance bands, a 65 cm stability ball, a yoga mat, and a yoga block.
I tend not to use them much at home, though. Especialyl not the ball. I have two kids, and blowing that thing up is like sticking a candle in front of a moth. ;) I can do any workout I do at the gym on the stuff I have, though. I just have a painfully small, cluttered house, so not much room to do any real exercise.
I belong to a gym but my "home gym" is the playground next to where I live. It has pullup bars and various other kinds of bars where I can get a complete workout. I also have pushup stands and a heavy resistance cord. Also a pedometer and a stopwatch. That's it for equipment.

your fears are quite unfounded.
You can get coated KBs, furthermore, in my 5 years of using KBs, I have dropped one...exactly once.
I live in an old rickety house, and my doorframes hold a pullup bar, which I anchor my TRX to.

I have various DVDs, an exercise ball, yoga mat and 10 and 5 pound dumbbells. I want to get some resistance bands and perhaps an ab wheel.

I still have a gym membership, but I also do some workouts at home. I have an assortment of resistance bands as well as push ups bars. I'll admit that I don't use those much anymore. But they are still there if I want to use them. I also have some weights as well as a body bar. don't really use that much anymore. I prefer the resistance bands.
I could get a kettlebell, but I'm more worried about accidentally dropping it and damaging the floor.
I would like to get a TRX system for home use. My only problem is the door anchor. I really don't have a stable door to hold one.

I about two months ago I gave up my gym membership because it was in the opposite direction of my new job so I just wasn't going enough to justify keeping it. Since then I have been gradually purchasing things that make my home workouts more versatile. It's got me wondering what other people's "home gym" looks like.
My "home gym" currently consists of: - 55 cm Stability Ball - Yoga Mat and DVDs - Resistance Tubes (10-45lbs with door anchor and ankle straps) - 15 lb Kettlebell
I am always looking for new stuff, but I have found that I can do a lot with what I have... It doesn't hurt that I live within walking distance from a park that I can get my cardio in. Everyone (but especially people who primarily workout at home), what equipment do you use?
