Probably best if you drink mostly water. Coconut juice, skim milk, unsweetened almond milk and vegetable juice would be good choices if you wanted something else to drink.
Until recently I was a 40 year diet soda, crystle light,propel, gatorade addict. So addicted to sweetness of sugar I did not prefer taste of water. Once I eliminated artificial sweeteners and sugar from my diet, as if turning a switch I prefer water only. No longer crave sweets or diet soda.
I drink 3/4 to gallon of water each day and enjoy it more than what I used to be like drinking all the diet soda. If you have an office, get rid of the mini fridge and replace it with a water dispenser.
On the rare occasion that I have orange juice or apple juice, I mix a 1/2 or 1/4 cup with club soda. Ever since the first time I gave up sugar juice became too sweet. But I don't substitute soda with anything. If I want one, I have a Coke Zero - that doesn't usually happen more than once or twice a month. I drink a lot of water, but I also drink unsweetened iced tea, which I don't even sweeten anymore.
I find that water is the only thing I need to drink , and stick to 80 ozs a day.
It took me a long time to quit pop, and the last thing I need is something that reminds me of it when I drink it. I don't do substitutes, I just switch my habits.

I find sometimes when I am dehydrated and feeling droopy on a 13 hour day that a Pure Energy is just the trick or if I get over heated in the summer. Emergen-C is nice too. Mostly I drink water but the assignment today was to post what we drank instead of the high calorie drinks, thought it would be interesting to see what others did. Thanks for the nuun suggestion, will have to check that one out. I realize pure energy has some sugar in it but it is very low in calories and to not have the aspartame or splenda is worth it. Sometimes I like to take a half packet and add it to my sparkling water instead of oj - delicious.

You don't need gatorade unless you are doing endurance exercise for several hours in hot weather.
But if you feel like you need electrolytes without sugar, I suggest nuun or emergen-c.

I can't drink diet beverages sweetened with Aspartame or Splenda - I am o.k. with Stevia so I use Crystal Lite Pure energy powders in my water sometimes when I want a "Gatorade" type beverage or Zevia's rootbeer when I want pop. But our favorite soda is to take sparking soda water (0 calories) and pour over ice and then top with 1/4 cup of really good no sugar added orange juice. We put it in a quart cup - it is delicious and refreshing and has the bubbles of pop and really ups your water - 2 of these a day and you have all of your water.
