weight watchers, (which I still use) and other silly fad diets that just didn't work. Love SP!

I was on another foreign weight loss site, and it was too much food, so I did not get anywhere but I made some nice friends.

I never thought about changing my lifestyle before SparkPeople. I guess I never thought I was unhealthy before SP.

Every diet under the sun...

Either paid for an online program or used pen & paper...

Lost and gained, lost and gained more, just gained...

Tried to do it without a support system...

Weight watchers and lots of fad diets...also diet pills. Very limited success with any of that if any.

Lost above 90 pounds twice and then gained it back by starving myself on diets and working out. This system makes more sense and is changing my lifestyle where I don't believe I will just go back to my old ways when I reach my goal.

I was using livestrong; their tracking method did make me feel more rewarded for working out (it added in those calories the same day) but I think it also make calories more obsessive so I like the weekly averaging method better now. Way back in college I used pen an paper; that was REALLY annoying...I lasted about a week or two with that approach.

I was writing everything down on paper and use the Calorie King book for the nutrition information. Yes, I do agree with you that having this site is way better than pen and paper.

I used to belong to Calorie King when they were a free site. Then they began charging and they just keep going up. Having tried both I have to say Sparkpeople is WAY better and WAY more useful then calorieking. Free is just a bonus!
