Lost above 90 pounds twice and then gained it back by starving myself on diets and working out. This system makes more sense and is changing my lifestyle where I don't believe I will just go back to my old ways when I reach my goal.

Paid for the services and lost weight anyway listening to instructions..
I was using livestrong; their tracking method did make me feel more rewarded for working out (it added in those calories the same day) but I think it also make calories more obsessive so I like the weekly averaging method better now. Way back in college I used pen an paper; that was REALLY annoying...I lasted about a week or two with that approach.

I was writing everything down on paper and use the Calorie King book for the nutrition information. Yes, I do agree with you that having this site is way better than pen and paper.

I used to belong to Calorie King when they were a free site. Then they began charging and they just keep going up. Having tried both I have to say Sparkpeople is WAY better and WAY more useful then calorieking. Free is just a bonus!
Summer produce is overflowing--and cheap! Whether you grow it or buy it, it's easy to preserve your food so that you can save money and eat better long after the harvest is over.
